So this week has been a bit of a shocker. We found out that bacon (and sausages…and burgers) are Just As Bad For You As Smoking. Not that any of us really cared – it seems the Internet’s consensus is that we’ll all be stuffing our faces with meat until our very last breath.
Which is just as well, because now one Canadian company has made all our hopes and dreams come true – by unleashing a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups burger out into the world.
The Works (the gourmet burger bistro, not the stationery shop), has over 20 restaurants in Canadian cities including Hamilton, Toronto and Kingston. So, if you don’t live in any of those locations, get on a flight ASAP. I’ll speak to your boss, it’s OK. Just go.
The burger was created in honour of #NationalNutDay on the 22 October, but we’re hoping this snack will stick around for a bit longer.
What is the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups burger?
It’s a dream on a plate, that’s what it is.
But if you want the real specifics, here they are. The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups burger involves a beef patty stuffed with melted peanut butter and chocolate. And then a few extra Reese’s Pieces are scattered on top for good measure (along with some onion rings). Get in my mouth right now.
